Jesus Wants You Well!
Hey, everybody! I’m Jeromiah from Born to Win Ministries, and I want to thank you for joining me for this important message. I call it “important” because I know exactly what I want to talk to you about today. If you've watched this ministry for any length of time, you’ll know that one of the main things I love to preach, teach, and give testimonies about is the subject of divine healing. Today, I want to share a key revelation from the Word of God that will help you unlock healing in your life—no matter how big or small the issue is.
But before we get into the message, I want to share something personal. From ages 13 to 15, I dealt with a debilitating condition called Addison’s disease. For those who don’t know, Addison’s disease is when your body completely stops producing adrenaline. I was constantly tired, couldn’t stay awake, and had no energy for anything. At one point, I was bedridden, unable to walk, and on a walker. I even reached a moment where I thought, “God, if this is my life, I just want to die and go to heaven.” But that wasn’t where my story ended—and I’ll get back to that.
For now, let’s dive into a powerful scripture that set the foundation for my healing journey and that could unlock yours, too. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” This one verse tells us something incredible—Jesus hasn’t changed. The same Jesus who healed the sick, raised the dead, and delivered the oppressed over 2,000 years ago is still doing that today. And He wants to do that for you.
I want you to think about that for a moment. Jesus doesn’t change. His power to heal is the same today as it was when He walked the earth. And I’m not just saying that as a hopeful preacher. I’m saying it because I’ve experienced it firsthand. But we’ll get back to that later.
Jesus: The Living Word Brings Healing
You see, one of the most powerful things I’ve learned in my years of studying and teaching the Bible is that Jesus is the Living Word. In John 1:1-3, we read, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him, nothing was made that has been made.” This is talking about Jesus. He wasn’t just someone who taught the Word—He is the Word. Everything the Bible says about healing, salvation, and deliverance is embodied in Jesus.
This means that everything the Word of God can do, Jesus can do. Since Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, the power of the Word to heal, deliver, and save remains the same.
Now, let’s tie this back to my story. I was at a point where I couldn’t walk and was bedridden. It was a terrible life for a teenager. I was gaining weight, felt lifeless, and honestly didn’t see a way out. I wasn’t living—I was just surviving. And while it was a difficult time, something inside me refused to accept that this was God’s plan for me. I started to meditate on healing scriptures like Hebrews 13:8 and 1 Peter 2:24: “By His stripes, we were healed.” This wasn’t just theory to me—it was my lifeline.
As I began to meditate on the truth that Jesus is the same today as He was back then, I started to think differently. I would lay in bed, unable to move, but I’d tell myself, “I’m going to get better.” That was the first spark of faith. The more I thought about getting better, the more hope and faith built up in me.
The Key to Unlocking Healing
That’s the thing with divine healing—it starts with faith. The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 had faith that if she just touched Jesus’ garment, she would be healed. She didn’t say, “I hope this works.” No, she said, “If I touch His clothes, I will be made whole.” That’s the level of faith that unlocks healing.
For me, I had to decide whether I would believe what my condition told me or what the Word of God said. That’s a decision we all face. Will you believe what your body is telling you, or will you believe what the Word of God says? The Word says, “By His stripes, we were healed.” Not “we will be,” but “we were.” Healing is a finished work, bought and paid for by Jesus on the cross.
In the middle of my illness, I started declaring that I was getting better. Slowly but surely, I moved from the walker to being able to stand for short periods. It wasn’t instant, but the healing had already started to manifest. And that’s something I want you to understand—it’s not always about the timing; it’s about your faith standing firm in what Jesus has already done.
Jesus Wants You Well!
Just like in my story, Jesus wants you well. He’s not putting sickness on you to teach you a lesson. God is a good God, and sickness is not His way of working in our lives. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus came to give you life in abundance—health, wholeness, and victory.
I want to pause here and emphasize something important. When you believe that Jesus wants you well, it changes everything. In Mark 5, we also read about Jairus, a synagogue leader whose daughter was dying. He came to Jesus and said, “Please come and lay your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.” And what did Jesus do? He immediately went with him. Jesus always responds to faith. He didn’t hesitate, didn’t delay—He went with Jairus to heal his daughter. And that same Jesus is with you today, ready to bring healing into your life.
At this point in my journey, I was able to walk short distances without a walker. It wasn’t a full recovery yet, but I was getting stronger. Each day, I would remind myself of what the Word says. 1 Peter 2:24 kept coming to mind: “By His wounds, you have been healed.” Notice how it says “have been”—that’s past tense. The healing was already provided, and I just needed to stand in faith and receive it.
A Personal Invitation
Now, let me ask you this—what’s keeping you from receiving your healing today? Is it doubt? Fear? Maybe you’ve been sick for so long that it’s hard to believe that healing is possible for you. But I’m here to tell you that healing is not just for someone else. It’s for you. Jesus healed in the Bible, and He’s still healing today. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means His willingness and ability to heal haven’t changed.
As I continued standing in faith, my healing progressed. I went from walking short distances to jogging, and eventually, to running again. It was a slow process, but it was happening. One day, I woke up and realized that I no longer needed the walker. I was able to walk freely. The healing power of God had restored my body, and I was living proof that Jesus wants us well.
If you’re reading this today and wondering, “Can Jesus heal me?”—the answer is YES. Just like He healed the paralyzed man, the woman with the issue of blood, and even raised the dead girl in Mark 5, He is more than able and willing to heal you. The only thing standing between you and your healing is your faith. But don’t worry—faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). That’s why I’ve shared this message with you, to build your faith and help you believe that Jesus wants you well.
The Healing Prayer
Now, I want to pray for you. If you’re ready to receive healing in your body, this is your moment. God’s healing power is available right now. It’s not me who does the healing—it’s Jesus. So, let’s pray together in faith:
Father, I give You praise and thanksgiving. I bless Your holy name, and we’ve gone through Your Word, which shows us time and time again that Jesus is the Healer.
Father, I stretch forth my hands as a point of contact for my faith to be released with theirs. I command in Jesus' name that their body be healed and restored from the top of their head to the bottom of their feet and everywhere in between.
We declare that any work of Satan in their bodies is removed right now as we decree what Your Word says in 1 Peter 2:24—by Jesus’ stripes, they have been healed. Father, let faith rise up right now in their hearts as they take hold of Your healing power.
Let every sickness, every disease, every pain, and every hindrance be removed, and let them be made completely whole.
In Jesus’ mighty name, amen!
Thank you so much for reading this and if you have a healing testimony you’d like to share, feel free to share it with me!
Have the Best Day,
Jeromiah
